My Aunt has been temporarily placed into a nursing home. She wants to
come home and was scheduled to come home last week. Then someone from
PCA said they thought she should stay. I have power of attorney and
representative payee and they appear to think that’s nothing. I’m
almost at my wits end

Please pray for my mother, recently diagnosed with breast cancer, seeing her surgeon this Thursday about her upcoming lumpectomy, thank you.

God be with me on my court date on Wednesday. I feel confident that I will win the case but I ask for your aide that no matter the outcome you bless me and help me to bless others. I try really hard to be a good person. I hope that I am living as you want me to.

I pray for ___________ and all who mourn her sudden death.

We are a group of seven students from Seattle Pacific University spending two weeks of winter break with urban promise. Prayers for energy and that our ears and hearts are open to God's direction for our service. Prayers that our hands can be God's blessing to the children of Camden. Prayers that our gifts shine for God's glory. Prayers that we release our prayers and inhibitions to our mighty father.

Lord I give thanks that you brought me through what happened to me two weeks
ago. You were there in the darkest moments. I pray that I will one day be able to forgive him for what he did to me. As I return in January I pray for strength and your guidance to lead me through the rest of my journey in that
beautiful place and with my family I have made there.

I left a message last week about financial matters, getting back to
Baltimore and paying the school system the money needed for an orientation
for a job I applied for. I still need help in this situation and pray God
and Jesus help. Also I am from Lousiianna and I had a bad experience with
people who practice voodoo. I found out yesterday that Philladelphia has a
sanctuary on N. 13th St. To me, its the devil, satan, and I don't do well
where it is practiced because I don't. So please help me get through the
works of satan, to go on with my life. Amen

My prayer, first, is of thanksgiving. I'm extremely grateful to God for all
that he has done for me and those in my circle . I pray for peace, wisdom,
prosperity, wealth, financial stability, the job that is meant for me, true
love that is balanced ___ a better relationship with him. emotional health,
physical health, patience and understanding. I pray for this for my family,

I need prayer for my health. I am clueless in what's going on with my body
inside of me. Healing is what I need. I was bleeding inside of me. Please

Thank you God for the good and bad in my life. Thank you for being an awesome God and giving Jesus to human kind.

Making a trip to Florida. Please pray for reunion with family. Also a safe trip and work available when I arrive. Thanks.

I’m so thankful for all of my blessings. I need some direction in life. Please pray for my family as well, especially my brother ---. Please pray for my boyfriend ---as he embarks on a hectic two weeks.

I’ll be leaving for N.Y. Thanks for everything.

I struggle with finding peace with in my home. I pray for change. I hurt someone I care for with my words and actions and want him to know my sorrow.

Prayers for those involved in occupy Philadelphia and any problems they face.

For the 1st time in years as I approach this season, I am not depressed. So grateful. Amen.

I pray that my fears and anxieties may be relieved—I need peace in the midst of internal chaos and sad feelings. Help me be an outpouring of peace for other people. Help people get through this season of sadness.

As I write this occupy Philly folks are protesting eviction from Dilworth Plaza. I pray for their safty, for peace and that this night passes with out violence. Bring your peace, Christ.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the beauty, love, abundance, trails, strength, people and faith that you have given me in my life. You are so gracious my God. All I need is you Amen.

Pray for my family. Pray for my sister who no longer wants to be apart of my family.

Please help my mother with her depression. Help her not to hate me, and to know that I don’t hate her. Help me find my whole self. The person who used to exist and exist in you who seems to have vanished. Finally Lord, help me find you, see you and understand what you want me to do and who you want me to be.

For those too stuck in the season to accept what they have, a prayer.

I just need encouragement and for God to guide my footsteps—I feel lost and don’t know how to move forward into life, love, and career. I’m feeling like life lacks meaning and purpose. I don’t ask for life to be easier but to have the vision, focus and discipline to move forward into a better version of myself. Also need more of compassion and love for others.

God is chasing after my friend ----------- and she is terrified of letting go of control/certainty—even though some of that certainty is painful. I pray she recognizes God’s love for her and that he might use me to help show her.

A prayer for myself and my father, that outer stresses stabilize.

Help me please forgive, my former boss --- ex-boyfriend --- and my former best friend --- I don’t want to carry their hurt . I want to be happy. I want to be happy.

God, I pray for my family and friends to know you. I pray for my friend --- whose husband wants out of the marriage.

May all of my brothers and sisters here on earth learn to slow down, breath, and let God’s infinite, ever present love flow in. love peace at-one-ment. Let’s all grow into our Christ-selves.

Broad Street Ministry is excited to announce a new collaborative at Beacon, a faith community in Kensington with a long past, exciting present, and bright future. BSM’s Facilitator of Transformative Arts, Rebecca Blake, with the help of community members and a team of pastors from the Philadelphia Presbytery, has been working for over a year to discern what new ministry might take shape in the building of Beacon Presbyterian Church, located on Cumberland Street, between Memphis and Cedar--a church founded in 1871.

With tremendous help from youth attending BSM’s Youth Initiative this summer, Rebecca has updated the space and prepared it to receive a variety of programming. As Beacon prepares to re-open its doors, the dream-team at Beacon has recently welcomed BSM Pastoral Associate Karen Rohrer into local conversations and relationships, both to aid with Rebecca's art programming and to hear the needs and dreams of the neighborhood as she helps build up the community of faith to be held in the Beacon building.

Grounded in a model of ministry that takes seriously the needs of the neighborhood immediately surrounding the church, Beacon is living into a vision of being “a neighborhood faith community that invites people of all ages to grow together through arts, learning, and faith.” Kensington is a drastically different context than center city, and Beacon’s ministry must be aware of this fact and adept at discerning needs. After a year of preparation, the Studio at Beacon will be realized in opening the church doors and welcoming the community into an art studio where neighbors come together to make art and discover creativity--an open art table where people of all ages and expertise experience transformation, beauty, and community growth.

As this project gains momentum and further relationships are built, the center of the Beacon vision, that of a worshiping community, will be actualized in mid-December. The Parable at Beacon will be a monthly open worship experience that retells the story of resurrection in the context of the Kensington neighborhood--a service to facilitate seeing God through singing, listening, and story telling. As neighborhood relationships deepen and the community continues to grow, learning initiatives addressing specific un-met needs are projected to lift off in Spring of 2012.

BSM is a community that has faith in the significance of discipleship and empowers young leaders to go out and do Kingdom-work in a world that desperately needs it. Beacon is an actualization of that faith and we are thrilled that new, innovative initiatives and community are growing there.

We hope you'll join us THIS Saturday, November 19th, to celebrate all the new things God is doing at Beacon as they host an open house & studio kick-off event from 1pm-4pm.

For the lonely and broken hearted, that they may be restored in Christ’s love and redemption.

Lord I’m a little lonely and jealous. Work – Your Work – is my life right now and I am okay with that. But it can be lonely. Help me not to get caught up in petty things. Thank you for --------. I am grateful she’s in this with me.

Anxious. Sad. Wounded. Grateful. Damn it.

My neighbor -------, whose husband is nearing the end of his life, for peace and community to support her. They’ve been married 60 years.

My music career-that God open doors for me in my music career and acting career before this year ends. That I will get through at of auditions, get in to movies. More ways of sharing my gifts.
Prayers against stronghold and road blockers And distractions. Pray that he uses my resources around. For blessing, financially, spiritually, etc.
-Spiritual growth, more conviction from the holy Spirit. God is the main person in my life.
-Prayer for my family and friends. ---------- that he will bless her bountifully. Provide with a job.

1. That God’s favor would enable him to be released from prison; and
2. That justice would facilitate a discharge in the case particularly if there has been a error in the identification of him as the accused.

I pray for my father + all who struggle w/ addiction. May they recognize that they are not in control.

I ask for help discerning who I have been called + created to be. Help me tune out my false self.

Thank you though, for your presence, for your children who surround me w/ love. Thank-you for the uncomfortable stirrings that push me towards being a part of your kingdom.

May my life be one of Dreaming + working for things unseen, instead of what is plausible, easy, + comfortable. May we work for what is true.

I am praying for my friend ---------. She is lost right now and I am concerned she is looking for herself in unhealthy things. I pray that she finds the strength and the wisdom to get through this time and becomes the amazing person you want her to be.

I want my mom breast cancer to away. ------ -------.

I lift up my mom and her back pain. I also lift up my uncle ---- and the ------ family as he struggles to heal from his broken hip. Peace and Blessings for ---- as she interviews.

My grandma is sick.

Thinking about my cousin ------ in Afghanistan. I hope he comes home safely.

I pray for world peace and a cure for aids and all infectious disease.

This week, I was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer, so my prayer is that I will do better in handling stress and worries. Thank you.

Please pray for my grandpa, who needs skilled care in a medicade hospital and congress cut the amt- he has nowhere to go for uninsured care. My godmother- she is getting a kidney stone removed this week.

That those in power learn to care more for the little person than for themselves.

Lord Jesus, How we suffer! Please lord save us from our pain. I pray for the woman tonight in tears, in pain, unable to speak. Can you heal her?

More of you, less of me. I give myself away so that you can use me. I’m so tired of trying to do things my way and feeling like I’m fighting alone. I trust you and let go and will consistently let go (at least I’ll try). Thank you for your blessings. Just say the word and I shall be healed.

Jesus, be with -------, a friend of a friend who experienced a great trauma last week. He doesn’t have a supportive family… and may be stubborn about accepting the love of his friends. Please show him your love… and I pray his heart will be opened to receive it. Also, Lord, I thank you for the brave souls who read over these cards every week, at Bible Study and on the Blog. I am so grateful for them. Amen.

Jesus, thank you for seeing me through. A year ago, I never though I’d be here, happy, “okay”, not in crisis. And yet here I am. By your grace, so much grace. “Thank you” doesn’t cover it. Hallelujah. Amen.

Dear God,
Please help my friend --------. He struggles and battles with an addiction. Please give him a portion of your holy spirit, help him, and be with him always.

Oh Father, Your grace is without limit. I know that your plan is for my salvation. At this time I ask for some direction in where I can find some work.

Thank God for -----'s arrival. He is here; he is safe; he is well. Thank God.

Please help me to appreciate what I have. Return me to the world of the living. Cure me of the need to be judged.

Bad things keep happening and I never know what to say or do. Not only is my sister-in-law’s father battling late stage cancer, her mother now has a rare form of mono and has to be in isolation. A sweet friend and neighbor was run over by an unmanned car and now suffers brain damage among other injuries. And a dear friend and my confirmation mentor had brain surgery this week after an “unsettling” MRI. I don’t know what to do to help. Help me be present and keep me from avoiding my feelings. Thank you for your countless blessings. I am truly grateful.

For --------. So much, for him and anyone else who suffers as he does. For me, for strength.

Please give thanks to God for the Lord’s endless bounty. Please pray for --------, that she may know the love of God within her. Please pray for --------, that he many know he is blessed. Please pray for the peoples of Somalia and Syria.

I called 911 for a passed-out man w/ a medical bracelet yesterday. When the medics came, they said they pick him up three times a day. What should I do? Call every time? Start to assume it’s not my problem or he is a waste? I don’t know. Help me to know what is right.

My spine is weird and I’ve been worrying about my debts a lot lately.

I’m tired of feeling screwed over, and tired of not believing that I deserve happiness.

Mother and Father God, my heart is full and heavy this evening. I am witness to a multitude of suffering this day- HIV, addiction, death, and sorrow. I life up the burdens and sadness and shocking hope and resilience, and pray that I may hold space here for those who are hunting and fighting and wrestling. I pray for all of the changes that are happening in my life and the lives of those I love.

I’m really grateful to God. I need help with relationship stuff and with humility.

Thank you for walking with me and giving me exactly what I need- and thanks for 43 days sober!

Pray that a certain group of people will stop harassing me.

My prayer last time was for more faithfulness. God is true. He is seeing to it that I am more steady in his word, study, and prayer. Pray that it continue.

A prayer for our children here and around the world. Pray for their security in housing, high self esteem, good heath, and a knowledge and continual longing for your word with it’s amazing power. Amen.

Prayers for ----- -------- my grandfather. He’s in the final chapter of life- prayers for peace for him and his hard working caretaker and son (my dad).

Please hold the peoples of Somalia in “our” prayers, in hopes that their “new” famine is over soon. Praise “God” thru “Jesus”

God, help ----. She is walking through so much darkness she can’t even remember the light. Lift her up, God, to your loving embrace. Help ------ get better, Lord. Help her to be healed.

Prayers for a hopeful future.

I pray lord that you help me to keep close to you always. My heart is heavy with burdens and I struggle with keeping you first in my life. Please help me dear Father to never lose my way from you again.

Dear Lord,
In the midst of my own doubt and disappointment I reach out to you in my prayers for friends fighting their addictions, facing terrible grief and desperately seeking you. As I do too seek after you. Amen.

Please help me not to take my gifts for granted. Please help me to be patient with everything that would require it. Please help me love my girlfriend and family as they deserve.

Please God- protect and be with women who are made into objects by men, and give them your arms to persist with, and give them the eyes to see how to act with justice and true, respectful love. God, I also pray for those blinded by greed and those who blind others because of their greed. I pray for economic justice. Please.

I pray for guidance.

I do not know how I can leave… when I have friend who are trapped, lost, abused, and hiding. I am thinking of ------ and ----- and the dead ends they both mistakenly see, and are blind to. Help me to help them, both here and now and from afar later.

I have a lot of thoughts on my mind. Help me to analyze the best I can for my sanity’s sake.

Lord, I struggle with trusting you at times. Your love seems too good to be ture. Sometimes I don’t know if it is you or more my own selfish and misguided motives that order my steps, Father. I need to hear your voice. Please guide me and offer me peace in the decisions that must be made. I trust your word and I know that if you say the word, I shall be healed.

Please pray for my family, friends, and me for peace and to know Jesus’s love.

God, help me to let my light shine. To believe, to be and feel worth. Let me risk loving.

Lord, hear these prayers from Your people:

To understand a moral code, one in which we set a standard of living for ourselves… God bless us all.

I am asking for me to get in my program.

I’ve been hiding everything from God because of fear- the good and the bad- I hide it all and I don’t know why. Please pray that I will be more real with God and others at all times.

While I still have so many questions and concerns in my personal life, and there are trials ahead, I am so thankful for God’s care and love for me and my children, and I am thankful for the love I have found at BSM. Thanks be to God and thank you, ------.

Please pray for me to help to keep me on track in life and to become closer to my son.

Please pray for my grandmom who is in a nursing home for rehab for 2 weeks, her name is ------. There is a familial dispute that exists regarding my mom and affects my grandmom and peace of family. We need God to show Himself in this situation.

Look over my baby girl and her mom.

I need help to stop getting high and get my daughter back. Pray for me.

Pray for world poverty, hunger, and peace
Lord, hear our Prayers.

Prayer for recovery

For the ability to stay in the present and not to always be focused on future events, communities, and times of rest. Also to slow down to be able to do that.

I am praying for a peaceful and fun weekend at my friends ------ and ------’s wedding new week- there is so much love between them, and I wish it to blossom more.

God’s blessings are abundant. I asked God for help finding furnishings for my new apartment and he is answering my prayer, and blessing me with more!

Lord God thank You for this moment and the opportunity to acknowledge Your love and presence in my life. You are a wonderful and merciful God. Please continue to bless me, my family, my friends and this church. Please protect us dear God… please continue to guard my footsteps and my words. Continue to show me the truth and the light and to give me strength to make the right choices. I love you dear God and I thank you. In the name of Jesus… Amen.

Lord lift up the 2 youth groups we have here this week. Guide their steps and enrich their week with your presence.

Thank you God for who I have become. Thank you for knowing me and loving me even when I didn’t know or love myself. Thank you for the greatness and abundance of your love. Thank you for this place, these people and this community. They know me and I know them. And I love them <3

Pray for my health. And my wisdom of the Lord.

Please pray that I become ever more faithful to the Lord Jesus + his commission to make disciples.

1. My grandmom, ------. She took a fall yesterday and is in the hospital. Please pray for a speedy recovery; for her recovery physically and mentally.
2. My mom has some negative influences in her life; I pray for her wisdom and ability to see things as they really are.

Pray for those troubled by fire.

Please give thanks to the Lord God for my friends, family, and my work, and the beauty and wonder of art. Please pray for my sister ----- and my friends the ------ to know peace in their hearts. Please give thanks for the gift of the life of our friend ---. Thank you.

Pray that my dad that has passed away forgave me for my shortcomings before he passed away.

Pray that I make the best job decision to give me balance with work/life issues.

My sister-in-law’s father was just diagnosed with sage 3B lung cancer. I never know what to say. I know how devastated she must be and will continue to be. Please help me be a better sister and aunt even though I’m far away. Thank you for this place and the people in it.
