Introducing Broad Street Ministry Open Tables
What: Groups that meet to address specific topics and create opportunities to give back to the community.
When: Groups will meet a few times a month, as decided by each individual group.
Why: BSM has grown a lot in the past 5 years and can be difficult to navigate. These groups are designed to help people get to know each other and discover how to be more involved with the larger community
Who: EVERYONE! Feel free to come to the next meeting!
Movement
This group explores issues of physicality and the mind/body/soul connection, by discussing and participating in physical movement and therapeutic lessons that will stir the creative process, in order to slowly come to a better understanding of “the body” (both our own and that of the larger community). People interested in all forms of movement are welcome - yoga, theater, dance, ballroom dancing, juggling, etc....

Arts and Culture
This group allows us to open ourselves to be used by God through art and culture while unleashing the Holy Spirit within! This group is an encouraging community that will teach and challenge your creativity, strengthen your faith, stir your emotions, stretch your boundaries, and progress your sense of identity – at Broad Street Ministry and beyond. Allow God to manifest through your art: music, poetry, sculpture, painting, and spoken word.

June meeting days/times: Mondays, at 6pm, June 7, 14, 21, and 28th, all at BSM
Community Activism
This group focuses on the distance we keep from new and different communities. We are discussing our faith, our fears, and our future with people from other religions, ethnicities, ages, and socio-economic conditions. We want to gain an understanding of each other and of the wealth that is hidden in our differences. Joining our efforts with others, we can act to make this community a better place through outreach within and beyond the walls of BSM.
