God of Mercy,
You set prophets before us yet we do not hear their message. You perform miracles yet our eyes cannot perceive their glory. You answer our prayers yet we do not feel compelled to respond with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength. You provide us with life, community and sense of belonging yet we go our own way into a place of isolation, loneliness. As we lift the prayers of our community to you, open us up to the possibility of sincerely trusting and courageously turning towards you. And so we pray:
For hearing and seeing and understanding clear and right and good life direction in the coming year—I pray that your Holy Spirit would lead the way.
For all of those who are in serious physical pain and illness—I pray for mercy and healing.
For ---------- ------------- ----------- mother that she may find peace and a safe home for -------------, --------------, and -------------.

Lord you know the decisions I am struggling with. Discernment and peace is all I can ask.
Thank you Lord for the innumerable gifts you have given me.
Please give me more patience with my oldest child, & please show me what you would like me to do with my life.
Help me to be more open & loving, to trust, to believe that I BELONG, I am a part, I am loved.
God,
I feel we’ve been out of touch. I haven’t been to church in weeks, & only 2x since January. My friends from my other church tell me that sin moves me away from you. What is the concept of “sin”? Is this a Chrisitan-specific word? I feel like it doesn’t exist outside the Christian world. Am I a “sinner”?
Yes, I am. But I don’t feel bad. I am just living my life as a 23 year old woman. Am I in the wrong? I am losing touch w/you. But maybe I depend on you, lean on you, knowing that you are all-loving, all-giving, all-forgiving…No matter what I do, b/c I am “saved,” you will always be there for me, O God. I pray to you, your spirit, for me to stay humble, witness & be reminded of your presense in all things, in ever day of my life.
Am I lost?
I am “saved.” Am I saved?
I’m losing touch.
Show me the light, God. Please.
