week of 10/17/10

God, You long to be in relationship with us, even when we are at our worst, when we are in so much pain, when we are in such need of healing--You want to be there with us, even as we push You away and content ourselves with familiar isolation. And yet, You find Your way in through the cracks, healing us in ways small and large. We ask that You find Your way into these prayers of Your people; we praise You for our victories and blessings and we ask for Your healing to come into the midst of our sorrows and failures:

A PRAYER For HEALTH and fortitude--and Love of Christ

Please pray for my cat who is having really bad seizures. Its stressful & difficult & he needs prayer. I'm also just feelin a little funky these days & hoping that goes away soon--

I would like to pray for my children that I hav'nt seen or talk to for awhile that they remain safe and keep God in there hearts and understand I still love them. That I'm just in a bad situation right. I pray for my girlfriends Health and hope she gets well and for all the sick and helpless out on the streets of the world.

I want to run again as in Isiah 40:31. I have C.O.P.D.--Please ask the creator to see me, feel me, touch me, heal me as only he can. Thank you.

So thankful for God's provision of work, health, and a family who prays together. "Lord help me to share this love and provision with others"

Lord God I thank you for your grace and mercy. Lord I ask for your help we (the company I work for) are in desperate need of some work I don't know how much longer that we can stay in business. I also ask that you watch over the health of my family and friends particularly my mother in Jesus strong name, I ask this Amen

filled with thankfulness that my nights on call allowed for a few hours of sleep

filled with weariness as i think about the coming 2 weeks

A special prayer for self-love and care in God's love and grace.

I would like to pray for a person I love a lot that I hurt and I pray the love of God gives him strength to go on. I pray for the ability to let him go and forgive him and myself and I pray that it is God's will he will return

Please guide me as new oportunities arise. Please heal the hearts of friends I have hurt and am about to. Please share your light with everyone I encounter and give hope for the future, we all need more hope for the future.

So grateful to you Lord--for grace I cannot give myself

for restoration I can't fathom

and your love so unlike anything else

Seem me not as someone who is violated, worthless & alone

See me as someone who is loved & embraced & who belongs.

Let me not be separate

Heal me, restore me

Bring Your healing to -----------, -----------, ------------, -------------, my Mom, a friend's marraige, -----------, my own weary heart, & so many others.

Be with those who "disappear" from this community for a week or a year--may they know Your love, wherever they are.

I thank You for Your immense Love & miraculous healing that You offer to all. Help us believe it's not too good to be true.

Lord, mental illness is so tricky. Overall I'm okay...but there are times still when I feel like I'm fighting so hard to keep my head above water. It is so hard for me to be rational--for me to remember the truths You've given me--that I am lovable, that I am not my failures, that there will always be more love to share and receive--that You are the source of infinite amounts of Love.

It is so hard for me to hold onto those things. Ground me in those things.

and please Jesus, help me sleep. Help me rest. Help me be gentle with myself...I never really learned how.

Bring Your presence and peace into our hearts, so much so that it overflows, and teach us how to freely share this peace with others. Teach us how to be gentle with our bruised hearts, and please Lord, teach us how to be more gentle with each others' hearts. Even as You challenge us to leave behind fear and old ways of living, You are comforting, and for this we are grateful. Amen.
