Broad Street Ministry

What does a church blog about, anyway?

An authentic faith life, of an individual or a church, cannot be neatly compartmentalized away from other aspects of life that influence us-- this blog is a way for various members of the BSM community to examine, explore, and articulate the connections they see between real, lived faith and the world around us.

The BSM blog also functions as a way for the broader community to pray alongside this community. Our prayer cards are often dubbed "Psalms of the Street", because of the gritty and beautiful realities expressed on them. The prayer cards are read out loud at our No Holds Barred bible study on Wednesday evenings and then they are typed up with names removed and published here.
We post them on the blog so that those who are unable to make it to bible study, or others who desire to pray with us, can pray the prayers that this community has lifted up.

If you have questions about the blog or about BSM, email info@broadstreetministry.org and we'll be happy to answer your question as best we can.
