Starry Mountain Trio Concert @ BSM, January 20th, 7p.m.!

BSM is excited to host yet another unforgettable concert performed by old and new friends of Broad Street. Come for an intimate night of music with the Starry Mountain Singers, performing traditional songs from the United States, Bulgaria, the British Isles, Corsica and the former Soviet Republic of Georgia.
Aimee Wilson (and the Factorye) will open the night with a handful of originals, Indian ragas and traditionals.

"..Our American repertoire includes shape-note songs (a traditional New England song style), powerful gospel numbers, and haunting folk tunes from the Appalachians. The Georgian, Corsican and Bulgarian songs are a mixture of sacred and secular pieces demonstrating an incredible range of unique singing traditions. Each member contributed songs from his or her particular area of musical knowledge and expertise, resulting in a dynamic and eclectic program that will delight world-music fans and lovers of choral performance."
