Emmanuel, God With Us,
We reside in a world where we often find ourselves alone, feeling so often that we are by ourselves, and everything is upon our shoulders. We need one to hear us, sit with us, take on our weight. Lord, hear our words to you this week. May our joys, passions, desires, plans, struggles, and pains be gathered in your hands. We lift up all these things to you, trusting that you will respond with strength, love, and grace.
“Please pray for my mom and that she finishes school and does well and gets a good job and also pray for my mom’s parents and that they stay alive and pray that --- is happy and that she and my mom will be able to pay the rent. Pray that my dad will live a long happy life and get married some day. I love you God.”
“Health of my family, mother, wife, children, and grandson”
“Family, dreams, aspirations.”
“Please help me make time to listen to God’s will.”

Mighty Savior,
We know that you are a God who creates, acts, sustains, overturns, tears down, rebuilds, transforms, and saves. Lord we ask that you dwell among us and move in our mist right now. We beg you to support our families, keeping them safe and strong, that in the face of disease, fear, and trouble you bring strength and healing. We need you to come to us because it is too difficult for us to come to you. Bring justice and aid to all those who feel they have no hope and no one is in their corner. Remind us of who we are and the futures you still have in store for us. Lord, we just ask that we know you are there, listening to our prayers, going through all of our sufferings and joys with us. Speak to us, show us your love and grace, and breathe life into the places of our world and lives where only death and despair now dwell. We pray this all in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit. Amen.
