God, week after week, day after day, even hour after hour, we come before you with hearts heavy, heavy with sorrow, saturated with joy, and every manner of things in between. We trust that You are already moving in these situations, and we ask You to keep moving, keep working, keep bringing life and hope into our hearts and lives. Hear now the prayers of Your sinners-turned-saints:

Lord let me first give thanks and Praise to you for all that You do for a wretch like me. lord let me not be blind. I ask that you watch over all those affected by the closing of the cafe that they may find warmth and shelter with you in Jesus name Amen

open my eyes, unclog my heart. what am I sure about that is wrong? Where are my eyes deceiving me? When does fear blind and distract me?

I desperately need my faith to become a practice of the heart again and not just a ritual of the head, because the loneliness never goes away and I need God to assuage it.

Please pray for my nephew who is working on his PHd in a nuclear power plant in Japan--thankfully he is safe in the US at present.

I pray for my marriage--for more love & understanding between us.

I pray for all people, the end of world famine & poverty, love & joy.

I'm praying for my friends. I'm praying for the joy of spring, I feel pretty good right now and am very grateful to God for being in charge. Jobs, dollars, relationships: I thin Jesus is still Lord so that's a nice feeling. Thanks.

Jesus, You are with us always, even when we are completely unaware of Your presence. We thank You for the ways You are present with us, and ask You to help us appreciate Your presence for the immense blessing that it is, rather than demand that You swoop into our lives brandishing a magic wand to solve all our problems. Transform us, and help us be patient with ourselves and others as we know we will mess it up sometimes. Transform us into the people we were created to be: people of love. Amen.
