week of 6/12/11

Lord, we long to hear a Word from You, a Word that brings about change and real transformation in our lives. We so often feel stuck--between a rock and a hard place, in the mire of emotional baggage, in situations that feel far from You. Hear these our prayers and speak into them, breathe new life:

I pray for peace, prosperity, health, understanding, compassion, love, honor, employment, financial stability, for myself & my family. I pray for all who are touched by & connected to BSM. I pray that God use me to be a blessing & encouragement to others & I pray that He guide me to the destiny/purpose He has for me. I pray for favor for us all over the world. I pray for my brothers health be returned to good status.

Dear God--
Thank you so much for getting to me today--struggling with taking the first step & getting help with my addiction to alcohol--been 20 years "out there". Not driking, just for today. Please be with me as I reach out I know where to go :)

Please pray:
That I don't let the cares & concerns of bills, jobs, career, etc...get in the way of the reality of the joy of the Lord in my life.
In thanksgiving for the open, honest and loving relationship God has allowed me to have w/my daughter. May we continue to grow together.

I pray to be strong mentally psyically franially spritally strong and pray for my friends

So grateful in the midst of chaos, you provide peace. I adore you. Thank you.

1,500 school district teachers laid off & more cuts in broader support comm.
Pray for the children of Philadelphia whose class sizes will be larger and whose teachers will be even more strained due to less resources and less support personel. Pray that despite the buget cuts, and their effects, the childrens’ education and support will not be compromised. Pray that in the face of adversity, the community will come together to support our childrens’ education

Thank You for speaking tonight. Give me the discipline to change & the humility to ask for help. Thank You for Your patience that always baffles my understanding.
Amen.

Be w/-------- & ---------- as they cope w/the reality of a miscarriage on this Father’s day.
Be w/----------, stuck in a hospital room & yet lost in the confusing mist of dementia.
Be w/those we’ve lost track of. Remind us that You love all people, despite our well-intentioned failure to actually love.
Sustain us in your work, in the ministry you’ve given us. Amen.

as for me O Lord--keep speaking to me and help me notice your nudges.

A We build the summer staff and they create a program help me to lead & teach and show them all that needs to be done. I’m nervous that I only have so many tricks up my sleeve and will run out of ability. Help me to give you, more of you less of me always

Please pray for my mother ----------- ------------. She is in need of Godly direction and peace. Her troubles are many. Please keep her in the prayers of the Church.

Jesus, just Your presence brings healing, as You are God-in-flesh, Emmanuel, the Incarnate One. Be present with us. Bring us healing. Open our eyes and ears and hearts so that we may sense the Spirit working, and listen. Help us to obey the Spirit’s urging to love sacrificially, to extend radical hospitality, to relinquish the control we allow money and possessions to have over us. Empower us. Thank You for Your patient, challenging, all-encompassing love. Amen.
