week of 8/28/11

Lord, we pray:

I pray for the best in life: love, prosperity, wealth, health, employment, and the opportunity to be the blessings to others. I pray these for everyone in my family, my friends, BSM and the city of Philadelphia.

For -------------, --------------and ----------- ------------(That truth wins out, that love heals wounds, that we remember our spirits remain free when our bodies are not, that we maintain our faith and not betray our mission in life, which is service to you.)
Please, please pray for them.

I pray that my grandmother will be okay; that she won't be as lonely. I ask, too, for God to give peace to my friend ------------. May she come to know him.

I just moved to Philly from Kansas with little more than the hope & trust that God has brought me here for a reason. I ask for prayer for ears to hear & courage to obey. Thank you for this amazing ministry.

Pray for World Peace

We need prayer for survival, protection, our health, our relationship to blossom through faith and trust. For housing to get off the streets, and for all the god's children we lost in the storm. For all is well, all safety! Thank you, ------------- -N - ------------.

Please give thanks to the Lord for the gift of music & for God's everpresent mercy. Please pray for my friend --------- and her family as they recover from Irene. Please pray for all those who were effected by the storm that they may soon recover & always know healing.

Lots of prayers this week--I pray for my friend's father --------------, who died last wednesday, and for my friend and her family. I pray for ----------------, found dead on saturday, and his family. I pray for my family of origin--many of who are such proud atheists that it is painful to consider I pray for the courage to be truthfully who I am meant to be. Amen.

Dear God--

help me feel safe and comfortable here at Broad Street, and bless those who help make it a welcoming shelter, who fill its table with food and its sanctuary w/joyful noise.

For ---------------, that she finds closure in this horrible situation, turns over a new leaf & never has to deal with such a mess like this again. And a simple pray of thanks.

For those who mourn or are anticipating death, including -------------, ----------------, friends of ------------. May the know the blessings of God with them, may they be comforted, and may they delight in vibrant and new light.

For those anticipating birth or celebrating new life, including --------------, --------------- and -----------, may they feel confident in God and love like God in a time of fragility and newness.

In thanksgiving for open doors, for healing, for the unknown as I listen for The Story.

Sometimes I forget how grateful I am for this place. I thank You & praise You for the brave, foolish souls who give themselves so sacrificially so that others might experience Your love.

Dear Lord, I pray that you please keep close to my dear friend ---------------. You are the only one Lord who can help him. Please do not forget him. I keep him in my heart and my prayers. Amen.

Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.
