week of 8/15/10

Lord, our needs are many and diverse. We need to feel Your presence, we need healing and clothes and medicine and shelter and community. We need balance and peace. We need to share our joys with someone who will celebrate with us. We bring all these to You, sometimes out of desperation, and sometimes out of a confidence of knowing that only You can satisfy our deepest needs. Hear us now, and open our eyes to see Your answers to these prayers in our neighbors' kindnesses:

My prayer is that my daughter will be delived from craine cocaine, her name ----------- -------------.

1.I have really bad rash between my legs and I don't have any money to buy something for it so if someone can give away som a9d cream or something else it would help me out.

2. Job & place to live. I have clean background check I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs so if someone can help me out with that also then it also will help me out.((G.O.D. Bless you all))

To see the love of God through other people again.

I want God to help me keep my goals in check and to not let others stray me away from them.

As I begin my twenty first year God has brought many decisions and uncertainties upon me. I ask Him for wisdom and clarity of both mind and heart as I prepare for the final year of my college education and become sumerged in the "real world".

Firstly Thank you Thank you! I have been so blessed!
Second please help me to hear & follow you as I chose the next steps for my life.

Lord, I thank you for calling me to the Broad Street Ministry and pray for direction and the ability to see me as you see me.

Jesus
I'm annoyed at how sad I am. I want to fast-forward to when I've got my ----- together. But You don't really work that way, do You. Help me be present in the moment, no matter how painful it is. Be with me in my grief.

Please pray that I can find strength through God, to fulfill what he has planned for me. Also, please pray that I never forget how I have changed this summer.

Jesus, You re-orient us, sometimes comfortingly and sometimes by challenging us, and for that we are grateful. Re-orient us now, help us to walk with the confidence of knowing that You are with us always. Help us to become instruments of Your love and care for each other, that we might know Your presence through the presence of our neighbors. Open our eyes and ears to see You in our day-to-day life. Thank you for the reality that You are there, walking beside us, loving us, and bearing our burdens. Amen.
