week of 9/19/10

Lord, we are experiencing so many different things. We are bundles of hopes, anxieties, dreams, dysfunctions, joys, fears. We each have our own stories, scars, memories, losses, triumphs. And yet You are present in the midst of all of our lives. You hear and value each one of our stories.

Hear now the myriad of prayers from Your people:

My Mother is under extreme stress. She constantly asks for relief in her prayers. She asks me and I do but she believes that I am not becuse nothing seems to change. So my prayer is for relief.

Please pray for ----------- -------------, my uncle who was admitted to the hospital with serious heart problems. Also for ----------- ------------ whose bone cancer has returned and who fell and broke both arms. Also pray for my sister-in-law who will be married this coming Saturday.


the name of the Lord is to be praised voices (pray for the voices of the Lord to be heard always)
the Lord your God is a just God, "he's mighty so mighty." A prayer for my son, my family, also for the ------------ Ministry. A prayer for healing of a broken spirit.

I thank God for all things. I thank the Lord for being given a new opportunity to learn & serve in my new job. Please pray that I may always be open to hearing God's voice and knowing God's peace in this role and throughout my life.

Lord, I don't know what to do. Good things have become burdens to me, and I have let myself become terminally bored. I just want to shut off the world, yet you want to open me up. help me to know what/how to be/do.

Jesus, sometimes these prayers overwhelm us and we shut down, unable to let them into our hearts, unable to believe that You are here, in the mess and the laughter. And sometimes these prayers echo in our souls, and we carry them around with us, forever. Be with us. Renew our hope. Carry us in Your heart, and we will carry You in ours.
