Lord, again and again we come to You, sometimes reluctantly, sometimes desperately, and sometimes joyfully, to raise our prayers, to be heard by You, and to hear what You are trying to tell us. We open ourselves to the reality that You surprise, often, and we ask You to see past what we think we want and grant us those things that we need. Listen, now, to Your people praying:

Lord you have created us for good yet we destroy the good you give us

Please don't let me lose this opportunity, I cannot help but doubt. Calm my fears and show me this is true.
Oh Father If it is your will that I have this new job that I ask for I will abide in your Love
Please God, discernment, passion, discipline, and hope. especially hope.
Jesus, we thank You for the ways in which You are present in our lives, whether we sense You or not. Make Yourself known to us, and at the same time, soften our hearts and open our eyes so that we might experience Your presence in unexpected places. Surprise us, with Your gentleness and with Your fierceness, show us how to be and love each other the way that You do so well. Amen.
