God of Love and grace, we approach you in prayer, full of pain and worry. Earthquakes in Haiti remind us of earthquakes in our own lives. We are suddenly reminded how fragile life is. These things can be too much to bear sometimes. However, we know you hear and answer prayers out of your love for us. Hear us as we lift up the prayers of our community, the Psalms of the street:
I returned from Haiti less than a week ago. Most of my friends are accounted for, but not all. My heart is breaking for these beautiful spirit filled people, and the country. I ask for prayer for the people there, all of them, and those of us here who have been affected. I feel helpless, and angry. Lord, be with them, be with me.
Pray for the people in Hati
also for the --------------- in Chicago helping people with their second Chance. They are a prison ministry with Pastor -------- going to the jail for over 14 years and now is ready to help those who have gotten out stay out.

Misery loves company and all is The same there is no one to blame.
My strength is grown my power has fled, The pain is constant in my acheing head.
I drown in a sea of misery void of substance and sound
I search for a solution or perhaps a magic poetion To releave my misery.
Prayers of hope and healing for -------- whose father passed away last week
Prayers of strength resilence and hope for all the people of Haiti, for loved ones far away and for intelligent and resourceful people everywhere who will work so that poverty may come to an end
My dad is a real “common sense” kind of guy. To me it seems like common sense and nothing else. When common sense fails, let there be something better than fear to fill the gap.
I pray that this country doesn’t let new news overshadow the pain that will continue to exist in Haiti for far longer than we can imagine.
Oh Father
Thank you. For the grace You have shown me as I try to align my will with yours. Please watch over ------- as she goes through her trials.
I am in need of your prays, for me to have the wisdom not to forget the past so that I may not repeat the mistakes that I have made
I think I might still have too much. And I think ------- was right, “my success is dangerous for my soul,”
Lord show me how to live the upside down kingdom
Pray for the safety of my brother and those with him and those they are trying to help

For Haiti-For those I love dearly who have lost family, or sit waiting to hear from family. Lord, work in tragedy to bring healing, hope for a broken nation, stability in the midst of poverty, Come, Lord Jesus.
Please give me strength, patience, love, and peace. Bring peace to those sad and down.

I pray for Haiti and all those affected by this horrific tragedy. I pray for those planning trips over to help. I pray for those left behind not knowing how to help. I pray for family and friends and soldiers overseas. Keep all safe and blessed.
Lord I pray for this church, BSM, I pray for the staff, the friends to keep giving. I pray for the helpless.

Praise God, for he has blessed me with a monthly income from the government for my mental health disorders. Praise God for he has reminded me that I serve and work for Him now and this does not mean I have retired into a use of luxury! Amen!

Like today’s sermon, I have a friend who has just left his home, friends, possessions to follow a calling from God and travel with nothing. I pray that God is with him, for emotional, physical, mental, spiritual strength and guidance.
Lord, you remind us that you are always with us. In the midst of great tragedy in Haiti, you are with us and you are with them. You work through us to share the message of love to all who need to hear it. You guide us through the earthquakes of our own lives. You hold us fast and guide us to the people you have placed in our lives who can help. Be with us as we struggle to understand your will. Thank you for your love and grace. Be with us, we pray. Amen.
