“My cousin was unable to have children and filed for international adoption – from China. After a long process, and a lot of waiting, she and her husband were paired with a little boy, 2 years old. He was termed “imperfect” due to being born with a cleft lip. Please pray that this little boy arrives home with his new parents safely and his surgery to correct his lip goes well.”

We don’t understand this world but we know that you are in it. Be with the families that are broken, suffering, and grieving. Lift up the oppressed and those who have lost hope. We pray that freedom, joy, and peace exist all over the world. We believe that you are working and moving right now. Offer them your love, your peace, and your hope. Guide all of us in transforming the darkness of this world into light. We pray for the health of all our loved ones and for the people who are helping them and looking over them. Thank you for the family, friends, and people you have placed in our lives who care about us and love us. We know that you do not stop at listening to us, but respond back in powerful ways. You are an active God who does help those in greatest need. Through you we have been given new life and a new way of being. Continue to make us better and better disciples of your son and our savior. Amen.
We don’t always know what to say, what to think, or even how to feel about so much of what is happening in our lives. All we know for sure is that we need you. We need you to hear us, to speak to us, to just be with us and share in what we are facing. When we bring to you our mixed up words and our confusion, you hear the beautiful voices of your beloved children. Thank you for always listening to us and sharing with us in our lives and in our world. Please now, hear the prayers of your people.
